Gentlemen,

Since we have been visiting occasionally the jungle for several years now, somehow we were able to instruct our native friends to look for us, some good treasure leads....and these are their repost to us:

1) Snake Cave Treasure
Type of treasure: Cliffwall cave along the seashore
History: Accidentally found by a native , while climbing the rocky cliffwall looking for bird nest, he stumbled into a cave with 2 huge black snake (not moving)....and beside it are black bars/bricks stockpile chest high, look like a knife sharpener (carborandum)
Comment: Actually what the native saw are "decoy" statue snakes to scare away intruder and the black bricks/bars of stockpile are actually gold bars covered with tar or asphalt....to hide its true color.....the guide is willing to accompany us to his cliffwall cave....problem lack of budget...

2) Underwater Chained Golden Budha
     Type of treasure: Underwater
History: A native while doing some fishing and diving...accidentally saw a 2 feet tall bald statue chained underwater at aprox. 20-30 feet deep....
Comment: What the native probably saw are golden budha chained into the rock/coral....the native willing to giude us to his site, in fact challenging us to take pictures but ...again due to lack of boat/budget/UW eqp't...we can't reconfirm these site.

3) Underwater 2 Chained Metal Box
     Type of Treasure: Underwater
History: The father of our native asset, during fishing/diving accidentally found 2 chained metal boxes and besides are scattered white metal bars. The native old man took one white metal bar and exchange it for a bottle of gin into local politician. The local politician bought a box of gin and ask the old man to dive for more white metal bars....after 3 days the old man gave the local politician 9 pieces of white metal bars....on his 3rd diving...the old man drowned bcoz he dive drunk...
We talk to the old man son...and accompanied us to the exact site along the seashore wherein his old man had dive/found the white metal bars....it is an underwater cave aprox. 30 feet deep....our target is the remaing 2 chained metal box...due to lack of U/W eqp't , boat and budget, these site is pending for future operation...

4) Japs Cargo Plane
Type of treasure: Crashed plane in mountaneous jungle.
History: The native found these Japs cargo plane with several heavy metal boxes while gathering rattan poles. There are several treasure groups looking for these downed cargo plane but they are combing in the wrong mountain.
Comment: The native is just waiting our team to reexplorte these downed Japs cargo plane suspected to contain treasure horad...again due to lack of budget these project is pending...

Whew !!!.......am just starting to tell my Japs treasure stories...there are still more.. Grin

Hey gboy,
I enjoyed reading your story regarding Yamashita's treasure!!!! Your description of the location is pretty good.... Well some of it. But I just want to let the other readers who may be tempted to get involved in it, that it was found a few years back.
Do you know the name Uncle Bob, gboy  :Smiley? He has passed away, so it doesn't matter if I use his name. Bob's description and story was a bit longer, going into detail which I won't. But anyway he and some others, including one of the two surviving Jap soldiers that where involved in burying this wealth of gold, (the others where eliminated), spent a good amount of time flying over the area until the survivor recognized a landmark. Backtracking they where able to locate the mountain side that the tunnel/cave was dug. But as luck would have it the monsoons hit and even with a chopper, (Bob had a couple) mudslides and the rain forced them out. They decided to return when the conditions where better and they where better prepared to continue digging. The got the entrance partially opened to only realize that Marcos's henchmen where coming down the mountain. (Loose lips do more than sink ships). While he may have been a friend, to some degree, of Mr. Marcos he knew that their greed was more powerful. So he and the others got out of there and didn't look back or say a word, back then (or now) that would have been a death sentence. Bob did find out from his contacts that, Marcos chartered two aircraft and flew them to Hong Kong, he had them insured for many millions.
Most any Filipino on the main island, over 50, knows the name "Uncle Bob" and while Yamashita's treasure is history he told me of a others that he knew of but where difficult to locate or get to. Besides, you would be faced with similar complications, since the nature of politics and those in control have not changed.

AZTrvir,

Everybody knows Uncle Bob specially in 70's or 80"s , I think he had a TV program? Anyway, I never expect that he himself involve in treasure hunting, however am glad that he is also into treasure hunting.....at least it add credibility to my stories that indeed ...several japs treasure exist here...
You mentioned that our treasure cave have been found a few years back?..... he,he,he, impossible there are hundreds treasure sites/caves  here...almost all caves that is within japs patrol or encampment had treasures....therefore they may have discovered different caves...
Everybody knows that there are more or less 175 big volume sites (100-1000+ tons, gold).....and for every one big volume sites...its is usually sorrounded by several small treasure sites (one drum, boxes, etc) buried by low rank soldiers.... threfore these japs treasure sites ...big or small....still more than several hundreds...

Actually, I NEVER expect in these forum that somebody will help us or finance in our Japs treasure projects....bcoz i know...NOBODY here who can afford it... however in other treasure forum, some of my forum friends give/donate us small things that are needed in our treasure projects...like tent, hiking shoes, etc.... anybody who is also willing to donate small things...is mostly likely welcome....

I will post and exposed some japs treasure stories later.... Grin

Interesting thread! Thanks for all the good postings!

To gboy: Well, I wouldn't say that nobody will finance your ventures. Infact quite a few people read thsoe boards and they are all interested in fiding lost treasures. Infact I should be getting back to the Philippines myself by next summer and will then check out a few of the possible investment projects. So maybe we will meet by then!

To AZTrvlr: Welcome to the board and thank you for this excellent posting! It's good to see someone talk treasure who has the necessary wisdom! Thank you!

And to all of you two: Who's Uncle Bob? Do you mean Robert Curtis? If yes, has he really recently passed on?

Sincerly,

Christian

gboy,
You're welcome to continue looking for Yamashita's treasure cave, and if you find it, there will be skeletal remains but no gold bars. "Uncle Bob", whose real name was Robert Stewart, said that it took two 727 planes to fly the gold out. That's a fair amount of weight!!!
For "Uncle Bob", it really wasn't treasure hunting, his connections and information came from sources that couldn't be questioned, finding the exact location took a month of flying.
He was one of the few Americans other than MacArthur and Roosevelt awarded the Philippine Legion Of Honor.

You are also correct about other treasures, however if they where "or are" found the finders would have kept silent.... otherwise!

Just a note gboy, "Uncle Bob" "LOVED" the Philippines and it's people with all his heart, and he allways yearned to return.

Aztrvir,

Thanks for your caution that the treasure caves here are "allegedly empty"....  Grin...he,he,he,.... however you are still ignorant whats is going on...right now...regarding the treasure hunting operations/hauling/selling here....

Why do you think...foriegn investor are putting up several gold refinaries here...right now...if our mining sector is very very low output for the last 30 years....amazing isn't it?

Whats is the purpose of those several foriegn gold refinaries for...if they never get gold from mining sector?...why do you think they invest on very very expensive gold refinaries ...what gold source they expect to get?... Grin

Of course, the treasure finders are very silent !!.....maybe to outsiders  Grin.....but to insiders like us....we know a lot whats is going on....

Gentlemen,

Here is some true stories of cave type of Japs treasure in the jungle...

1. EL SOMBRERO 1 TREASURE

Sometimes in 1986, Jaycee together with his Uncle Manuel both Igorot native, while gathering rattan poles, accidentally stumbled into a small pathway besides a cliffwall which lead them into a cave entrance partly covered with thick rattan vines. Curious of the cave opening which seems to be lighted inside, Jaycee with his Uncle Manuel objection, stubbornly and innocently inspected the cave. To his surprise, the cave chamber was illuminated by a hanging big bulb like object that is hit by sunrays at 10:00-11:00 am in the east. While strolling inside the cave chamber, Jaycee was bothered by his Uncle Manuel constant warning, shouting and stoning him....just to let him get out of cave. His Uncle Manuel who is standing only in the cave entrance is afraid that soething might endanger his nephew.
Jaycee who stayed inside the cave for a few minutes has a good look of the gold bars stockpile (up to his neck), drums and boxes within different cave chambers. Jaycee also saw 4 japanese samurai, two on each side of the wall dividing the cave chamber. And from the cave entrance you could see a big long box with 3 big padlock. The box was est. 14 ft X 3 ft X 3 ft and in fatigue color. There is also a table full of many sparkling stones.
Jaycee who is ignorant and have no interest on those precious items...except on the hanging shiny bulb object attached to the cave ceiling. Jaycee wanted to take the shining bulb object, and wanted it to put into his nipa hut. But the constant warning, hysterical shouting, scolding and stoning him of his Uncle Manuel, just to let him get out of the cave. Jaycee get out of the cave empty handed...
Up to now, Jaycee still remembers the area that even for several years had passed he cannot forget the incident. While gathering rattan he mark the tree besides area. hoping an exploration tem will find the landmark.
Last June 14, 2003 we formed an exploration team and surveyed the jungle area for more than a week, we found the tree landmark, but due to heavy rattan vines, thick vegetation and without Jaycee guiding us the exact location...we missed the treasure cave.
After a few days later, when we meet and ask Jaycee regarding our jungle mountain survey, he told us that we are already about 100-200 meters from the treasure cave...but the forest vegetation is very thick...visibility is only a few meters...
With complete budget....repeated survey and hardwork....this treasure cave site is doable... Grin
