Hi,
Until it can be explained why Kidds "charts" were all found in furniture dating from WAY after he'd been hanged,in strict chronological order, using language that was NOT in use at the time they were supposed to have been made (i.e."smugglers"), ALL from the same source, then................ Nah........ pure fantasy......
A million other things also that point to a crude fraud that I won't even bother to go into...
It's all gotten out of hand, "Sherlock Holmes" was a fictional character, hasn't stopped them opening a museum in Baker St..... loads of people believe he was real, similar thing really....

Hi Tony,
Who's bickering?.... not me....
Just stating why I don't believe the Kidd legend which was the entire point of this thread.
Tony, if you need funds and are utterly convinced that you are on to something why not try setting up your own web site and inviting investment rather than being so beligerent?
You need not even "give the game away" 100%.
Maybe someone might think the way you do, but it won't be from this site.
Good luck!

Hello Hat.trick

I am not sure what you are apologizing for?

Captain Kidd was perhaps the most famous pirate of all time but he was rather a very unsuccessful one. Sadly the legends about the man over time have been blown out of all proportions.

The cause of this hysteria is the claim by Captain William Kidd when faced with execution that he had buried treasure some where in the Indies. Was there any treasure or not?

The legend of William Kidd has enthralled and captured the imaginations of millions over the last few centuries. It has spawned a host of claims and theories and still continues to do so.

Unfortunately for some it has inspired a religion and like all treasure legends has its fair share of shysters over the years that has clouded the real story behind the legend.

The object of the Topic was to explore the possibility that Kidd had some information to trade to save his life?

Hardluck

Hello Hardluck

It is common knowledge that Capt. Kidd buried his treasure about 20 minutes from my home on the banks of the Delaware before he went to NY.  What is far less known is that if you take the exact position of the burial spot and burrow straight down into the earth and through to the other side you would find yourself pooping up in the Indies.   Wink

Hello Hat.trick

There are many locations up along your wonderful coastline claim Kidd's treasure. However Your coast has a wonderful history of smugglers, pirates, shipwrecks and occasional buried treasures buried by mostly unknown pirates forgotten to history.

Kidd was the first superstar of the pirate world.

the question i asked was , how do you know the chests are not 16 century can you give me an answer as to who said  and how you know this fact,it will would be very interesting to hear your answer,When my friend was a live he by the way worked for BROTER computers said don't tell me you are on to treasure go to someone who has found treasure and he will tell you what problems their are. So i tracked down a man called Kieth Jessop (he found the gold on the ship Hamshire )and went to his house and he told me how to rearch a subject. He said first do not believe what you hear from people who clam this is right or that is right look for the facts ,like who knew were the ship was ,i said "the captain" "no" he said , the navigator "no" he said ,i was lost as to who knew , he then showed me a letter from the German u boat captain who had sunk the ship in the war, he knew it was ,he who sunk the ship,( cleaver),So what do we have  someone  that cant prove the charts fake or real and someone who cant prove the chests are fake or real, which is call a fact.

Hello Tony69

You more than welcome to believe in those fake charts. Arguing over the point is tiresome and my time is wasted answering repetitive questions that have been already answered time and time again. Even if the furniture was 16th century there is no proof any charts were ever found in the furniture. Only by the claims of Palmer himself.

Now what has Keith Jessop got to with William Kidd? Entirely two different stories Tony, and besides it was not the Hampshire but the Edinburgh that he salvaged gold from. After the Russians, British government, salvage company and legal vultures Keith made 5 million out of the deal. Keith was a tough as nails salvage diver who worked from humble beginnings from the bottom up and was no fool. But his story and research is in no way can be compared to research on William Kidd legend.

For one he had a authenticated treasure to search for.

Now answer my question How long ago did you meet Keith?

Hardluck
