Low today is 46 high in the 50's but a little north its bad. Good thing about the island 10 degrees warmer in winter 10 cooler in summer

Let me tell you another story that I am no longer searching for and willing to share.  The good captain visit Milford Connecticut and rumor is that he bury treasures on Charles Island on the shores of Milford, Connecticut which is own by the state and only birds live there.  Good luck.  He is also rumor to bury treasures in other locations. Smiley

There are local legends and rumours that mount up to Kidd burying treasure in at least 30 locations mostly on the east coast USA. Whilst I acknowledge that a pirate captain or two and maybe some crew may have hid their personal loot for safekeeping, it was not the norm. At the risk of boring followers of this site can I repeat (for those that missed it) my statement on this site last year, that the Kidd?Palmer charts are a hoax/deception created before WW11. The enigma and mystery of these charts was solved years ago. Why do you think nobody has ever found anything? Those searching will be looking for ever because the necessary research required for this has not been carried out, and for those who have convinced themselves they know where it is, it will be Oak Island and its money pit all over again. (Two hundred years later, they are still looking!!)

Kidd tried to bargain alleged treasure for his life. He lied trying to save his skin. To some, that is a dying declaration and therby the absolute truth. To others, it was his final scam attempt.

I think most of us agree with you on that Capn. But you know as well as GD and myself that even with proof and hard facts the believers will not listen.

 Hi Wusneme & all, I have come across some info on Richard Knight. He is a kiwi,from (New Zealand )  he claimed to have got at the treasure!? At least one possibly two 6 ft long chest full of the good stuff. but then had it re buried ( lucky for us ) lol
 as he wasn't in a position to get away with out being caught.
