GoldDigger,
Pay attention - after the Portuguese looted Malacca in 1511 the Portuguese wanted to ship ALL the looted gold and silver back to Portugal so they minted all new coins out of TIN. Everyone who is anyone knows this fact. The coin Marx is holding is TIN. That's why the reporter stated it as such.

I give up on you. Read about metallurgy for a while. Forget the picture with the mistake in the identity of the metal. Gold, silver and copper were mostly used for coins. Tin would have long ago disintegrated.

Tony, What is true about Marx. Is anything of the following claims valid.

1. We found eight ancient wrecks within two miles of where Flor do Mare lies.
2. On Tengah the underwater visibility was excellent.
3. We never had fever then three vessels on the site.
4. One of my fondest memories of that day was being in a rain of gold.
5. We found an Muslim graveyard under water close to shore.
6. We had tree Zodiacs with sides canner, bottom profiler and mag.
7. The tree reefs was on Marx old map but not on today's chart, they where found by using the side scanner after being seen from an airplane.
8. The weather with rain every day and the current (3 knots) was the biggest problems.

1. False.
2. True.
3. We had the Osam Dragon, Work Barge and the Minnow (survey boat).
4. Not sure what 'rain of gold' he's talking about but if it mean 'raining gold coins' then this is total BULL.
5. False.
6. We had one Zodiac also all that equipment that he mentioned.
7. Those three reefs are on all modern day charts. We were concentrating on the center reef (tengah).
8. It does rain a lot during rainy season. Sometimes the current was between 2 to 3 knots (during the full moon time of the month).

Tony

Tony, since nobody knows where the Flor is, how can your first statement be correct? The mind boggles, mate.

You sure do harbor a grudge for a long time.

GD,

I see.. some things never change and that you're still hanging around here causing trouble and backing your good ole buddy, Marx.

Its not ME.. but Marx who's playing with words here. Your question should be directed to HIM!

I have been searching for and recovering treasure for over 46 years. I am one of the original Lucayan Treasure Boys. I started doing research with the archives in Seville in 1963. I have TRIED to use Marx's information on shipwrecks in Florida, and found that the majority of the information in his books are total BS.

But I'm still right. Nobody knows where the Flor is so your statements are all in question. Giving evidence is an important part of getting to the truth. Having a grudge against Marx isn't evidence, Tony.

Why you're saying that 'nobody knows where the Flor is' when this whole time you have been agreeing with Marx that HE found it already? So, now you're admitting that he's a big LIAR and DID NOT find it?

You're crazy. Why do I even waste my time replying back to someone like you?Huh??
