This Yamashita treasure had been blown out of proportion in all treasure forums and acquired a negative impression by the mere mention of it, because of some overzealous 'expert' treasure hunters, who spent decades of 're-searching' and talking.
Whatever truth within this yamashita treasures, had been clouded and smeared and became an object of ridicules, as a result of being 'used' by those few self proclaimed experts.
The sad results is the dragging of the Filipino name...not as an individual but as a whole itself. They should give breather to this topic by asking and giving factual and relevant information, instead of bragging how good they are, without giving tangible results to support their claims. (BTW, I smell cleaner atmosphere these past few months.)

My 2 cents

There is a dedicated section of this forum just for Yamashita treasure hunters which can only be accessed by those who ask for access. There, discussions can go wild without the sarcastic replies, of which I am guilty. I find in my research that more than 9 of 10 treasure tales are without basis. The Yamashita treasure is one of them.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

Goebells, one of hitlers generals said that once you start a lie and its told often enough people will eventually believe it and its true.
Thats why im always sceptical until its researched researched and actual visits are made to determine the truth about anything.

But there will always be some that think theres a pot of gold at the end of every rainbow hehehe no ones found one yet hehehe

A few years back after a rain storm, I saw a rainbow while driving and decided to find its end. Wound up at the public toilets of the long-distance bus terminal. Wrong kind of gold!

bisaya i heard those stories of japs treas folk tales, but never convinced me to find those treas stories coz i know its only a story.
regarding those fake seller i know very well to those group, even their big boss. last 1996 they are 35 in their group, 20 of them killed.but untill now thy still operating secretly. maybe 2010 they will all vanished or erased. and those are not ordinary fake sellers they are armed. armed groups are common in my place.

bisaya, you are believing to unbelievable stories of yamashit treas. in pictures and stories you amazed to those post? maybe you are too weak...
