It was validated. and like you just said it was real history. You never disproved it and I proved it. So looks like this has become a law. If you want to verify that you can ask Ron or Christian who will agree with me.

Good grief. I feel as if I am debating with a 12 yr old.

Unfortunately this doesn't add to the discussion. Please keep it on a rational level Smiley

How else can one reply to "You never disproved it and I proved it". The only thing missing is "neener neener". Claiming a "victory", when proof or validation still hasn't entered the discussion is on the same level

Just assuming it was on this level it shouldn't mean other posts to be on the same level. Let's just all try to stay on a civil and rational level. Pulling ones leg sure won't get  us far. Smiley

Can anyone remember what this thread was about? With all the flaming going on, I can't.

Between all the flames, the original questions posed by brich2 ("Has anyone ever found Knights of the Golden Circle treasure?" and "If so, is there any proof that the KGC buried it? ") got addressed a couple of times......However, it does not appear that the second question has been resolved to the satisfaction of the skeptics.  (whether the first question has been answered to their satisfaction or not is debatable since it all depends upon how you parse the question).

But you are right in pointing out that this thread has really strayed from the initial questions.

Well this topic of conversation is and always will be as hot as the topic of LRLs.  The believers steadfastly hold their own and scream at the top of their lungs that it absolutely is true, and the skeptics absolutely refuse to believe any part of it and scream just as loudly that the believers are full of it.  I wish there was a way that these sort of conversations could be civil and productive, but short of strict moderation of every KGC (and LRL) thread and post, I don't ever see that happening.

I have to agree with you. I am glad that no one has mentioned the Redbone Cave in northern Alabama or the Lost Dutchman mine, the naysayers would be coming out of the wood work.

No kidding?  Redbone Cave?  You mean out in Colbert county around Muscle Shoals?  If that's the same place, all I can say is dang. When I was a college student My mom moved to Florence.  My brother was still in high school, and when I would go up to visit the family, my brother would take me to Redbone Cave for parties with his degenerate friends.  There'd be a couple of kegs, a few sacks of bud, maybe some mushrooms, and a couple of hundred people whooping it up out there.  Giant bonfires in the mouth of the cave.  They partied out there because it was so far off the beaten track that nobody would complain, and the cops never showed up.  I never heard of any history of treasure being in there or I'd have spent a lot more time poking around in the cave rather than getting wasted in front of it.

I'm afraid that "strict moderation" is not allowed on this subforum.  I tried that, when I was moderator, and was not allowed to "moderate" so I resigned.  Now, whenever I even try to "report" an insulting or derogatory message from here, I get an error message so I cannot even do that.  As a result, anarchy, off-topic converstations, insults, and unsourced opinions reign supreme.   Smiley
